I'm going to sleep now, thank you for your help. However, when i logged in tty i discovered that tty also hangs and freezes and doesn't respond to commands so I'm not sure what to do. Update: I suspect it is the nvidia driver problem like many of you suggests since everything else doesn't seem to apply. This is my first time on linux so now I don-t know what more to try, I hope you guys can help me. Nothing worked, another theory on google is that nvidia drivers are involved, but I did not install any driver, in fact the problem appears even if I install nothing. I tried 1) adding it as an argument when i launch the system 2) adding it as an argument to grub using a text editor ![]() ![]() I have a Lenovo t480 and i-ve researched things on google and here-s what i-ve already triedĢ) trying to log in using xorg rather than waylandģ) adding ahci.mobile_lpm_policy=0 (or 1, contradicting solutions) I tried this because there is a known bug on lenovo laptops that causes exactly my problem and this is supposed to be the solution, but it did not solve anything. Additionally if i try to turn off the laptop the screen gets black and a weird message appear saying (watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPUx stuck for 22sf or some variant of it) So after a clean installation everything works, but after i reboot (no matter what i do, even i do nothing, just install and reboot) fedora will freeze just after login.
